Hey my friend

Wow last week was a week of God coming through big time. Our students finished up there school last Thursday with graduation and it was amazing to see the change god brought into each of their lives. It amazes me every time again faithful He is and was and how he answered so many prayers during the school time. You got a big part in this. Thank you for all of your prayers. Another big thing that happened was that we got an apartment for the ministry in North Beach. After praying for about 18 month God opened up the door and gave us a place. It was a total miracle to get it. At every single apartment about 30 other people waited in line to rent. Each of them had way better incomes then we did, but our God is bigger then any of those circumstances. He gave us a place that is better than we could have ever asked for. It is perfect to run groups for end loneliness as well Alpha courses to reach the people in that district. Keep praying for us about timing and the next steps God has for us in that. I will also make a short video of the apartment when I finished moving in so you can see it. We also still need a lot of people to join our monthly support team to cover the higher rent ($1950). Consider supporting us in this task. And thank you again for standing with us in Prayer.

With all the things that happened in the last week two words stood out to me, Perseverance and patience. One thing I noticed that if we would have not kept praying and trusting that God will open the door we would have not been able to get a place but more important we would have not been encouraged by his faithfulness and Him coming through. And that is an encouragement for you and me. You prayed for it as much as I did. And believe me there were times were it was really frustrating and discouraging to get all the denials. It probably felt a little bit like Marie and Joseph when they didn’t find a room in whole Bethlehem. But in those times I kept reminding myself of Gods faithfulness and how he always came through. This brings me to patience. It’s sometimes easy to give up after a while and to say ok this must not be Gods will so let’s forget about it. But God wants us to be patient and trust Him even if everything looks like nothing will happen. If you think about David and Moses and how many years they waited till they saw God coming through. I want to encourage you with those lines to persevere and be patient. Trust that God will come through with the things He said. Don’t give up halfway and believe that our God is bigger than any circumstance even if it sometimes looks impossible or takes forever. Trust HIM

Wow die letzte Woche war wieder ein Zeugnis wie Gott Gebet im großen Stil beantwortet. Unsere Studenten hatten Ihre Abschlussfeier und waren damit mit Ihrer DTS fertig. Es war genial zu sehen und zu hören welche Veränderung Gott in Ihre Leben gebracht hat. Es zeigt mir jedes Mal wieder aufs Neue wie treu Er ist und wie er so viel Gebete in den Studenten über die Schulzeit beantwortet hat. Du hattest einen großen Teil daran. Danke fürs beten. Eine andere große Neuigkeit ist das wir eine Wohnung für End Loneliness in North Beach gefunden haben. Nachdem wir für 18 Monate gebetet haben öffnete Gott dir Tür zum richtigen Zeitpunkt und gab uns eine Wohnung. Ein totales Wunder. Nur das Ihr die Größe dieses Wunders versteht hier ein kleiner Punkt zum besseren Verstehen. Bei jeder Wohnung bei der wir uns beworben haben waren ca. 30 andere Bewerber die wesentlich größere Einkommen hatten wie wir. Aber Gott ist grösser wie jeder Umstand. Er gab uns eine Wohnung die besser ist als wir es uns hätten wünschen können. Die Wohnung ist perfekt um End Loneliness Meetings zu haben als auch Alpha Kurse um Menschen in diesem Gebiet zu erreichen. Bete weiter für uns speziell  für das richtige Timing im nächsten Jahr. Ich werde in den nächsten Tagen ein kleines Video von der Wohnung machen so das Du sie auch sehen kannst. Wir suchen auch immer noch nach einigen neuen monatlichen Unterstützern da die Miete wesentlich höher ist als bisher ($1950). Und natürlich ist jede Spende steuerlich absetzbar. Bete darüber ob du unserem Unterstützer Team beitreten möchtest. Und nochmal vielen Dank für deine vielen Gebete für die Wohnung, die Arbeit und mich.

Mit allen Dingen die in der letzten Woche passiert sind habe ich 2 Worte die herausstachen, nicht aufgeben und Geduld. Wenn wir Gott nicht vertraut hätten das er die Tür öffnet  und aufgehört hätten zu beten hätten wir die Wohnung nicht bekommen aber viel wichtiger wir hätten nicht ermutigt werden können durch seine Treue in dieser Situation.  Und dies war eine Ermutigung für Dich und mich. Du hast dafür gebetet als auch ich. Und glaub mir da waren Zeiten wo ich entmutigt und frustriert war da wir so viele Absagen bekamen. Es fühlte sich wahrscheinlich ein wenig an wie bei Maria und Josef als sie in Betlehem abgelehnt wurden. Aber in diesen Zeiten erinnerte ich mich daran wie treu Gott in der Vergangenheit war, gerade ist und auch in der Zukunft sein wird. Nun komme ich zum Punkt Geduld. Es ist manchmal einfach nach einiger Zeit aufzugeben und zu sagen das es einfach nicht Gottes Wille war daher lasst es uns vergessen. Aber Gott möchte dass wir geduldig sind und das wir Ihm vertrauen selbst wenn Dinge aussehen als ob nichts passiert.  Wenn Du einmal an Joseph oder Mose denkst und wie lange sie warteten bis Gott die Dinge erfüllte die er versprach. Ich möchte dich mit diesen Zeilen ermutigen nicht aufzugeben und Geduld zu haben. Vertraue darauf dass Gott die Dinge erfüllt die er versprach. Gib nicht auf dem halben Weg auf und vertrau darauf das unser Gott grösser ist wie jeder Umstand oder jedes Problem selbst wenn es manchmal unmöglich aussieht. Vertraue Ihm.

The last week passed quickly with a lot of exciting things happening. First of all our fall school came back from outreach with many interesting stories to tell. Its exciting to see how God transformed each of the students in the last 6 month. Our god is awesome. I was also helping out with our homeless program by driving them to a place called lands end at the ocean side of San Francisco. We had a worship time there with all of them which was awesome. It was so great to see random people standing there and listening and seeing in the process there faces change. Our God is awesome.

This weeks challenge is in form of a video. And this is a good prayer to pray along with the challenge fir the week. It was written by Saint Francis from Assisi.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light.
Where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to
console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive.
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.

Amen.

Die letzte Woche verging schnell da sie sehr ereignisreich war. Unsere Herbst DTS kam vom Auslandseinsatz zurück mit vielen spannenden Geschichten wie Gott gewirkt hat. Es ist genial zu sehen wie Gott die Leben der Studenten in den letzten 6 Monaten verändert hat.  Jeder von Ihnen konnte mehr von seiner Liebe und Macht erleben. Unser Gott ist super. Ich half letzte Woche auch mit unserem Obdachlosenprogramm 360 aus. Ich fuhr die Teilnehmer ans andere Ende von San Francisco den Pazifik wo wir dann zusammen eine Lobpreiszeit hatten. Es war genial zu sehen wie vorbeilaufende Menschen berührt wurden während sieanhielten und zuhörten. Man konnte auf Ihren Gesichtern sehen wie sie plötzlich glücklicher aussahen. Unser Gott wirkt durch so viele Situationen um Menschen Hoffnung zu bringen. Genial.

Die Herausforderung für diese Woche ist ein Video welches ich am Lands End am äußersten Teil von San Francisco aufgenommen habe. Und dieses ist ein gutes Gebet welches ihr täglich mit der Herausforderung beten könnt. Es wurde von Saint Francis von Assisi geschrieben.

Herr, mach mich zu einem Werkzeug deines Friedens,
lass mich Liebe bringen in den Hass,
Verzeihung in die Schuld,
Einheit in die Zwietracht,
Wahrheit in den Irrtum,
Glauben in den Zweifel,
Hoffnung in die Verzweiflung,
Licht in das Dunkel,
Freude in die Traurigkeit.
Herr, lass mich mehr danach trachten
zu trösten, als Trost zu finden,
zu verstehen, als Verständnis zu finden,
zu lieben, als Liebe zu finden.

Ich hoffe du hattest eine super Woche. Letzte Woche waren meine DTS Studenten und meine 2 Jungs aus England auf einem Gebetsmarsch in North beach unterwegs. Sie beteten über die verschiedensten Menschen und Straßen und alles das so in der Gegen passiert.  Das Team war auch 3-mal im Boys and Girls Club aktiv was ein wahrer Segen für die Kinder im Club ist. Gott fängt an die Studenten zu benutzen die Herzen der Kinder zu berühren und Hoffnung zu bringen. Ich habe mich in der letzten Woche auch wieder auf eine Wohnung beworben. Bitte bete weiterhin dafür. Es braucht ein Wunder Gottes, da sich bei jeder Wohnung ca. 30 Leute bewerben. Bete mit mir und stehe mit im Vertrauen das Gott die Tür öffnet. Gott ist grösser als Umstände und alles das unmöglich klingt. Danke für dein beten.

Letzten Samstag starb eine großartige Sängerin, Whitney Houston. Jeder von uns kannte Ihre Lieder wie z.B. „I will always Love you“ von dem Film the Bodyguard. Wenn wir auf Ihre Karriere zurückblicken sehen wir eine Frau die praktisch in jeder Art erfolgreich war. Sie fing als Kind an in der Kirche zu singen, dann in einem Gospel Chor und dann fing sie mir Ihrer Solo Karriere an welche 170 Millionen CDs verkaufte. Aber er gibt auch eine andere Seite zu Ihrem Erfolg welche nicht so glamourös war. Sie war eine Frau die von Ihrem Ehemann verprügelt wurde, eine Frau die von diesem Schmerz anfing Drogen zu nehmen, eine Frau die alle Hoffnung verloren hat und eine Frau über die sich am Ende jeder lustig machte nachdem Ihre Stimme versagte.  Aber was mich erstaunt ist der Punkt das das letzte Lied das sie 2 Tage vor Ihrem Tod sang das Lied Jesus Loves Me war. Sie konnte jedes Lied aus Ihrem erfolgreichen Repertoire wählen aber sie wählte dieses. Nach all den Verletzungen und der Dehmuehtigung durch die sie in diesen Jahren gegangen ist könnte man meinen, dass sie eigentlich nicht mehr glauben kann dass es etwas wie Liebe gibt. Nein sie glaubte bis zum Schluss das sie von Jesus geliebt ist, wieso hätte sie sonst dieses Lied gewählt? Ein Lied das von der Stärke Gottes und seiner Liebe singt. Gott brachte Ihr Hoffnung bis zum Schluss. Ich möchte uns, alle Männer die dies lesen ermutigen unsere Frauen mit der wahren Liebe (1. Korinther 13.1-13; Epheser 5.25) zu lieben und gegen häusliche Gewalt gegen Frauen aufzustehen wenn wir davon hören oder sie sehen. Und auf der anderen Seite möchte ich alle Frauen die dies lesen ermutigen Ihre Männer und Freunde in dem Punkt zu respektieren das sie nicht hinter Ihrem Rücken über sie lästern und sie anstatt dessen ermutigen in wer sie sind. Und ich möchte dich am Schluss dazu ermutigen über diese Wahrheit das Jesus dich liebt nachzudenken.

I hope you had a great week. Last week I had my DTS team and 2 guys from England cover the North Beach neighborhood in prayer. They walked the different streets and just prayed for the people and the different things that are going on. We also had the team 3 times at the boys and girls club which was a true blessing again for the kids at the club. God really starts to use the students to impact the lives of the kids deeper and deeper. I also applied for another apartment in the neighborhood. Please keep that in your prayers. It needs to be God to do a miracle because at each place about 30 people are waiting in line to apply for the place. So please stay with me in prayer for this and believe with me that God will open up a door. God is bigger than circumstances or anything that looks impossible. Thanks for your prayers.

Last Saturday a great singer passed away Whitney Houston. Her songs were known by all of us like the one “I will always love you”. When we look at her career we see someone that succeeded in any way. She started off as a child singing in the church, then in a gospel choir and then started her career as a solo singer which ended up selling her 170 million cds. But there is another side of Her story behind all the glamour and fame. A woman that got beat up by her husband, a woman that got through that addicted to drugs, a woman that lost hope in life and a woman that everyone started making fun off after her voice failed. But what amazes me is the fact that the last song she ever sang was the song Jesus loves me. She could have sang any song of her catalogue but she choose this one. After all the brokenness and all he hurt she went through you would think she must have given up on believing that there is such a thing as love, but no she believed till the end that she is loved by Jesus, otherwise why would she choose this song? A song that sings about that our God is strong and that he loves. God brought her hope till the end. I want to encourage all of us man that are reading this, to love our wife or girlfriend with a true love (1. Corinthians 13. 1-13; Ephesians 5.25) and that we stand up against domestic violence in relationships when we hear about it. And to all the woman that are reading this, I want to encourage you to show your husbands or boyfriends respect by not talking bad about them behind there back and by encouraging them as well in who they are. And at the end I really want you to think about the truth that Jesus loves you.

Roemer 8.32  Er hat seinen eigenen Sohn nicht verschont, sondern hat ihn für uns alle in den Tod gegeben. Wenn er uns aber den Sohn geschenkt hat, wird er uns dann noch irgendetwas vorenthalten?
