Ich hoffe du hattest eine gute Woche. Diese Woche habe ich wieder ein Videoupdate. Hier die Bibelstelle von der ich im Video spreche.

Roemer 8.32  Er hat seinen eigenen Sohn nicht verschont, sondern hat ihn für uns alle in den Tod gegeben. Wenn er uns aber den Sohn geschenkt hat, wird er uns dann noch irgendetwas vorenthalten?

Sei ermutigt.

Die letzte Woche war genial. Meine neuen DTS Studenten kamen mit mir nach North Beach und haben sofort eine Verbindung mit dem Boys and Girls Club aufgebaut. Ich bin gespannt wie Gott die Studenten in den nächsten Monaten benutzt. Ich helfe mit dem Club auch seit längerer Zeit aus und es ist genial wie Gott ständig neue Wege eröffnet die Kinder zu ermutigen. Wir hatten letzte Woche auch ein gutes Meeting im Café. Ich hatte 2 Helfer von England mit mir. Die beiden sind Studenten in einer englischen Bibelschule. Sie sind ein wahrer Segen. Bitte bete weiterhin für die Wohnung Situation. Es hat sich immer noch nichts getan und wir möchten in der nahen Zukunft einen Alpha Kurs in North Beach starten. Wir schauen uns gerade mehrere Möglichkeiten an. Betet für Gottes Führung. Letzten Freitag kam auch meine Verlobte von Thailand zurück was mich sehr glücklich gemacht hat. Nun können wir anfangen für die Hochzeit im Mai zu planen J.

Wenn du an dein Leben denkst und daran was den meisten Einfluss auf dich hat an was denkst du? Vielleicht Menschen die dir am nächsten sind. Als ich meine Wäsche gewaschen habe gab mir Gott ein interessantes Bild. Wenn du Kleider in den Trockner wirfst und den Trockner total überfüllst werden die Kleider nicht trocken. Wenn du aber die richtige Menge Kleider im Trockner hast bekommst du einwandfrei trockene Kleider. Wir haben oftmals das gleiche Problem. Wenn wir zu viele Dinge auf einmal tun erledigen wir diese entweder schlampig oder wir werden nicht damit fertig und sind gestresst. Aber wenn wir unsere Aufmerksamkeit auf weniger Dinge legen, in diese aber unsere ganze Kraft investieren sehen wir oftmals eine größere Veränderung und bessere Resultate. Und wir sehen das Jesus und auch dieses Prinzip gezeigt hat. Jesus hatte 12 Jünger und in diese 12 investierte er alles. Und genau diese Jünger standen bis zum Schluss mit Ihm (mit einer Ausnahme) und sie waren diejenigen die das Evangelium kraftvoll in die Welt brachten. Überlege dir wo du justieren musst und vielleicht deine Einstellung ändern um mehr effektiv sein zu können. Das heißt vielleicht das du bestimmte Sachen aufgeben musst oder diese an eine andere Person zu übergeben. Denke darüber nach.

The last week was amazing. My new DTS Students came out with me to North Beach and got instantly connected with the boys and girls club. Its so exciting to see how God will use them in this upcoming season. I was also able to work with the club myself and its amazing how God really starts to open up more and more ways to encourage the kids. We also had great meetings at the coffee shop. Last week I had 2 helpers from England with me. What a blessings. Please keep the apartment situation in your prayers, still nothing has opened up and we need a place in the near future to run the alpha courses in North Beach. We are looking into different options. Please pray for Gods guidance in that. Last week my fiancé also came back from Thailand. It made me so happy having her back. Now we can start planning for the wedding J.

If you think about your life and the things that have the most impact on you what do you come up with? Maybe the people that surround you the closest. When I did laundry the other day God gave me an interesting picture. When you put clothe in a dryer and you end up putting too many in the stuff will not dry. It will stay wet. But if you fill the dryer with the right amount then the laundry will be perfectly dry and ready. That’s many times the same with us. If we are doing too many things at a time we will lose the ability to actually get things done in the right way. But if we focus on a smaller amount of things and put all of our effort into those we are able to see a bigger impact there. And actually you can see this in Jesus as well. He took 12 disciples and really invested in them. These were the ones that stayed with Him at the end (besides one) and these are the ones who spread the gospel in a real powerful way. So check your efforts and see where you have to make adjustments and then become more focused.

Die erste Woche mit der neuen DTS ist bereits vorbei. Die Zeit verging so schnell. Auch die Zeit in der Jen auf einem Einsatz in Thailand ist, ist am Freitag vorbei. Darauf freue ich mich riesig. In der letzten Woche konnte ich mich mit einigen Teilnehmern als auch mit Leuten bei den Café Treffen treffen. Ich fing auch mit genaueren Planungen für die Studenten an welche heute anfangen mit mir in North Beach zu arbeiten. Sie werden über die nächsten 3 Monate mit dem Boys und Girls Club arbeiten. Bitte betet für diesen Teil der Arbeit und dafür das Gott die Studenten benutzt um die Kinder zu erreichen und Hoffnung zu Ihnen zu bringen. In den nächsten Monaten werde ich einige neue Dinge in meinem Leben haben wie z.B. das planen der Hochzeit im Mai und Vorbereitung für die Ehe. Bitte bete in dieser Zeit für mich, Jen und die Arbeit. Vielen Dank.

Denke diese Woche mal über folgendes nach. In Markus 10:17-23 ist eine Begebenheit in der ein reicher Mann zu Jesus kommt und Ihn fragt was er tun muss um ewiges Leben zu haben. Als Jesus Ihm die Antwort gab alles zu verkaufen und ihm nachzufolgen verlies in der reiche Mann traurig. Wieso ging er? Wenn wir uns die Welt in unserer heutigen Zeit anschauen sehen wir die Antwort. Der Focus liegt immer auf Geld und Macht. Um erfolgreich und angesehen zu sein brauchst du Geld und Macht. Aber wenn Leute dies erreichen werden sie oftmals stolz und Ihr Wertgefühl fängt an von diesen Dingen abzuhängen. Ich denke das das Problem des reichen Mannes nicht Geld war. Vielmehr denke ich das es ein Problem seines Wertgefühls war. Er hatte das Gefühl das wenn er sein Geld und die Macht abgibt wird er wertlos. Aber die Wahrheit ist, das wenn er dies getan hätte, er erst gemerkt hätte wie viel er wirklich in Jesus Augen wert ist. Er würde an einen Punkt in seinem Leben kommen indem er Jesus total vertrauen muss da er keine andere Option hat. Und ich glaube das darin das Problem mit Geld und anderen Dingen liegt. Wenn wir anfangen unser Vertrauen in etwas anderes (z.B. Haus, Geld, Job, Rente) legen als in Jesus, haben wir das gleiche Problem wie der reiche Mann. Und ich glaube das jeder von uns in Teilen unseres Lebens es schon getan hat oder noch tut. Ich möchte dich herausfordern über Teile in deinem Leben nachzudenken wo du mehr Jesus brauchst. WO hast du dein Vertrauen in andere Dinge gesetzt als in Ihn? Vertraue mir, es lohnt sich nach diesen Dingen zu schauen denn Jesus schaut wirklich am besten nach Dir und er kümmert sich am besten um dich.

Week 1 with the new DTS is already over. It flew by so quickly. Also the time that Jen is in Thailand is almost over. She will be back next Friday. Yeah. During the last week I was also able to meet up with some friends in the neighborhood as well as having the coffee shop meetings. I also started preparing for the students to join today. They will work with the boys and girls club during their time here. Please pray for that part of the ministry that they will have a great impact on the kids and are able to bring hope to them. During this upcoming season there will be a lot of new things for me to work on like getting married in May. Please keep me, Jen and the ministry in your prayers in this time.

I want you to think about the following. In Luke18:18-30 there is this story where a rich man comes to Jesus and asks him what he needs to do to have eternal life. So Jesus told him to sell everything and follow him. The rich man ended up leaving and Jesus was sad. Why did he leave? When you look at our world today the focus is many times just on money and power. To count as successful you would need money and power. But that leads many times to pride. It leads to that our value comes out of that. I believe the issue with the rich man wasn’t the money, but it was his value system. I believe a big part of his value and of who he is came out of that money and the status and security it gave him. But when Jesus said get rid of it he was probably thinking that without it he would be nothing. But the truth is that by giving it all up he would be even more. He would be able to come to a place where he totally has to trust Jesus because he doesn’t have another option. And I believe that is the problem with money or any other thing. If we start putting our trust in anything else (like House, money, job, retirement funds) then Jesus we are doing the same thing as the rich man. And I believe all of us do or did so at certain parts in our life. I want to challenge you to think about areas where you need more of Jesus. Where did you put your trust in things instead of Him. Trust me its worthied to look at that because he is the best provider and he takes amazing care of you.
